About the Artist

Carolyn McDonald is the Creative force behind Pastelluna Design.  Based out of Portland Oregon, Carolyn is continually inspired by the rich natural depth and beauty that the Pacific Northwest endlessly provides. Carolyn loves rocks and minerals of all kinds. As a child she would collect and hold on to the special rocks she would find. She was inspired by the idea of millions of years compressed into a small sparkly or layered gem. Carolyn has an extensive history in the arts, and has experience with numerous modalities. While taking time to stay home and raise her two boys she began to merge her artistic interests and talents into creating beautiful, meaningful adornment.
